The search

As a mom, I'm always looking for toys and accessories to make my children's lives more colorful, more beautiful and safer - for the kids and for the environment. Products that are not only functional, but are made from harmless materials and bring long-term joy; paired with a beautiful and modern design. In 2020, the search will therefore become an idea: find brands and products that convince me and thus become part of the search myself - for parents, friends and families.

This is how TAMITAMI Kids is created.

A mom-run concept store with hand-picked products for babies and children – sustainable, practical and with loving designs.

The design

My son and I often do crafts together. We shape, paint, cut, decorate. And we like it when the design is not neglected. Because a design can be much more than a beautiful bowl. There is appreciation in the conception and production of a toy. This appreciation is also reflected in playing: friendly colors, funny shapes, a well-thought-out toy - what is made with love can also be used lovingly.
And yet, children are children - sometimes boisterous, often curious and constantly learning. And that's a good thing! That's why products have to be durable. Natural materials like wood and cotton can do that, as can non-toxic alternatives like silicone.

Sustainability

Sustainability is for everyone. It means producing and consuming in such a way that we meet our needs and desires without limiting the opportunities of others - today or tomorrow and wherever. This includes, among other things, dignified work, well-being, growth, educational opportunities, equality and participation.

In everyday life, sustainability may mean something different for each of us. Leaving the plastic bag, taking the bike or thinking about when we really need something new.

Toys in particular are often short-lived - they break or lie alone in the corner. Children grow and reinvent themselves. The production and disposal of toys can have a huge impact on the environment. And some products are not safe to use in children's rooms either.

This is precisely why sustainability is important! TAMITAMI Kids therefore presents you with special brands with a sustainable and fair approach, almost exclusively with certificates such as GOTS and FSC .

And of course for the greatest of us: the children. Because a respectful and appreciative play culture gives them the chance to treat themselves and others in the same way.
